Miori Nagashima
Miori Nagashima picked up traditional calligraphy at the age of 5, and since then has gone on to further develop her calligraphic skills. She also dabbles in performance art, weaving together inspirational musical performances while creating calligraphic pieces at the same time. Miori also composes the music that is used in her performances, and entwines spoken word, singing, instrumental music and live painting. Miori was invited to perform in Singapore, at Suntec City in 2014.
She has received the Chairman’s Award in Prince Takamado Cup Nippon Budokan Shosha Calligraphy exhibition and the Yamaguchi Prefecture Governor Award in Hofu Tenmangu Shrine’s Tanabata Calligraphy brush festival.
Her artworks were sold out at Affordable Art Fair Singapore Spring Edition in 2016.
